During the spring semester of her final year of law school, Amber is gaining exposure to various aspects of civil litigation. She is assisting with client intake calls, reviewing appellate decisions, and working on assigned projects. Amber’s eagerness to learn is contributing to the firm’s growth and its success.
Amber will graduate from Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in May 2024 and will sit for the Illinois bar exam in July 2024. She holds double degrees in Supply Chain Management and Spanish Language and Culture; and studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain, where she completed advance Spanish classes, took international business classes, and obtained an International Business certificate. She uses her Spanish language skills at ASU’s pro bono program, where she deconstructs immigration, probate, and family law matters for underserved communities.
Amber has gained considerable experience during law school; after having interned for Bechtel Corporation, the largest private construction company in the United States. Amber has interned with John Deere’s Latin America department where she worked on trademark enforcement matters, researched multi-jurisdictional product liability statutes, and presented her foreign money judgement recommendation to the legal department. Amber also externed for Jackson Lewis where she developed liability and damages assessments, researched and drafted wage and labor documents for state and federal courts, responded to written discovery, and considered strategic counseling in connection with federal regulations and implementation issues. In addition, this past summer, she was a summer associate at an Intellectual Property Litigation firm in Chicago; and even externed at the Circuit Court of Cook County under the Honorable Marian E. Perkins.
In her free time, Amber loves to go to the farmer’s market, explore Phoenix on foot, and daydream about the Windy City. She is fluent in Mandarin and Spanish. In the future, she desires to practice complex civil litigation matters.
